General Function

The Assistant Manager acts as a leader in the absence of, or in support of, the Store Manager. Represents LensCrafters as the premier destination for vision needs and delivers key performance metrics.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
  • Achieve and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, traffic, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Support the store manager in diagnosing business issues and leveraging store synergies.
  • Assist in leading and training the team, providing feedback, and supporting recruitment efforts.
  • Ensure store visual standards and a positive working environment.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and safety standards.
  • Perform administrative duties and support scheduling, including nights and weekends.
  • Perform optical duties, including providing product knowledge, adjustments, repairs, and measurements, with a valid state Opticianry license.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid state Opticianry license
  • 1+ year management/supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of retail operations and strong communication skills
  • Proven selling and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree or equivalent
  • Experience in retail leadership and optics knowledge
  • Additional certifications such as ABO or Brand Final Inspector Certification
