Job description

We have an opportunity for an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Restricted to M1 licensed. We maintain a flight school with a fleet of 34+ single and multi engine aircraft, as well as provide service to privately owned aircraft owners.

Position Summary

WWFC Maintenance Department supports the Flight School by ensuring aircraft are well maintained and ready to support the Flight Department. The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) is responsible for maintaining aircraft to a high standard of safety while maintaining operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities:
  1. Ensures that all maintenance procedures and inspections are carried out as per the maintenance schedule and/or the manufacturer’s maintenance manual.
  2. Performs all maintenance activities in accordance with the applicable standards of airworthiness.
  3. Ensures that all documentation is done according to company procedures and CARs.
  4. Performs and/or assists with troubleshooting and rectification of defects.
  5. Ensures that all aeronautical products installed on all aircraft have proper certification.
  6. Ensures that all unserviceable aeronautical products are tagged with the company unserviceable tags and placed in the quarantine area.
  7. Accurately completes all work orders such as service documentation, log books, and shop logs in a timely manner.
  8. Performs various duties including engine runs and aircraft towing, as trained and authorized to do so.
  9. Helps with maintaining a clean and safe workplace including some general shop maintenance/clean up.
  10. Demonstrates the Company Mission, Vision and Values Statement, policies, and current standard business practices.
  11. Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements:
  1. AME Restricted to M1 license.
  2. 2+ years of experience.
  3. Experience with fixed wing aircraft, preferably small piston engine aircraft.
  4. Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  5. Mechanically inclined, ability to work with your hands.
  6. Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills.
  7. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy of work.
  8. Must be computer literate.
  9. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as work independently.

Must be available Sunday to Thursday, with potential afternoon shifts, as WWFC operates from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week.

Compensation:

Wages range from $32.00 (new AME) to $49.00 and are commensurate with experience.
