The District of North Vancouver is seeking a full-time Library Technician to engage with the community through services and programming primarily for children and families. Responsibilities include providing reference services, delivering literacy programs, and assisting with library collections. Ideal candidates will possess a strong background in library science and a passion for youth services.

Position Overview NVDPL is looking for a regular full-time Library Technician to work in a front-facing role with an emphasis on services and programming for children and families. Reporting to the Manager, Community Connections, and under the direction of a Librarian, you will provide reference & reader’s advisory services; plan and delivery early literacy programming and outreach; and assist with collection maintenance.

The hourly pay rate for this unionized position starts at based on a 35-hour Sunday to Thursday workweek, plus a generous benefits package. This work requires flexible availability, including evenings and weekend shifts.
