POSITION SUMMARY :
The Health Sciences Library and Archives Technician supports the hospital’s evidence-based decision-making and ensures the smooth operation of the Holland Bloorview Health Sciences Library and Archives. This role includes assisting the Manager, Library and Archives in accessing, organizing, and managing health and clinical information resources to meet the needs of clients, clinicians, researchers, and learners. The technician also helps care for, preserve, and organize the library’s book and journal collections, along with archival materials related to pediatric health and the hospital’s history. Key responsibilities include : cataloguing, indexing, and classification of library and archival collections, overseeing circulation and interlibrary loans, providing reference support, contributing to collection development, collaborating on assigned projects with other hospitalprograms and offering technical support and accessible services to users.
