Job Summary
UFV seeks an innovative, dynamic, and service-oriented professional for the position of Student Engagement Librarian (“SE Librarian”). The role involves developing, coordinating, and supporting engagement and outreach initiatives for students, including non-traditional students and underserved populations, to meet their unique needs and interests.
The librarian will collaborate with colleagues, campus departments, and community partners to implement outreach efforts, programming, and inclusive initiatives that promote student-centered library services, contributing to student success and retention.
Under the supervision of the University Librarian, responsibilities include participating in activities such as information literacy instruction, research help consultations, decolonization initiatives, institutional committee meetings, collaborative projects, orientation sessions, and the UFV Library Student Engagement Working Group (SEWG). Additional projects may include open education, digital humanities, archives, and professional development activities.
