JOB SUMMARYOttawa Public Library (OPL) provides accessible, innovative library and information services throughout the city of Ottawa, that meet the unique needs of diverse communities, delivered through facility, mobile, and virtual channels.
As the Program Development Librarian focusing on in-residence programs, you will coordinate the selection process, the planning and the logistical organization of authors, innovators, artists, and other creators-in-residence. You will implement programs such as talks, workshops, one-on-one consultations with the public, and other related initiatives. Also, you oversee financial resources related to assigned activities within an approved budget envelope.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEMaster’s degree in library and/or information sciences from an accredited library school.
6 months of related experience working with community partners and supporting the planning, coordination, and implementation of public programming.
