Liability Examiner - Full Time (Remote, Anywhere in Canada)

International Programs Group (IPG) is an independent third-party claims administrator providing claims services for Lloyd’s of London syndicates, domestic insurers, self-insured entities, or organizations with high deductibles or self-insured retention. We are currently seeking a Liability Examiner.

IPG collaborates with Canada’s largest network of independent adjusting firms across the country, operating out of Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. Each office is staffed with specialized senior and qualified desktop examiners. We are licensed in all Canadian provinces and possess regional expertise. The successful candidate will join IPG, a company full of opportunity and excitement. We are looking for the right candidate to join us!

Note: Although this position is intended to be remote, attendance at the office may be required for training, client meetings, or team meetings with ample notice.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Act as an examiner for various Lloyds accounts, providing prompt, fair, and quality claims service to clients.
  2. Examine complex liability claims.
  3. Direct Field Adjusters on assignment investigations.
  4. Settle claims directly with claimants or their representatives.
  5. Administer claims payments and settlements through trust accounts.
  6. Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure client needs are met.
Qualifications & Experience

While licensing and experience are critical for handling significant examining tasks for a TPA, we seek individuals with a proven track record of performance. Candidates should be technically strong, well-organized, and able to understand key issues while providing effective solutions. Motivation and enthusiasm for the challenges faced by a rapidly growing organization are essential.

We will also consider:

  • Relevant post-secondary education (asset).
  • Completion of CIP courses or working towards CIP designation.
  • Ability to hold an independent adjusting license.
  • 5-7 years of relevant claims adjusting and/or examining experience.
  • Exposure to the Lloyd’s market (asset).
  • Experience contributing to a high-performing team.
  • Strong aptitude for working with technology.
  • Attention to detail and professional communication skills.
