Position: Full-Time Security Supervisor

Site: LG Life's Good - 20 Norelco Drive, North York

Averaging Agreement: Employment Standards Act (ESA)

Hours: Monday to Friday (0600 - 1400)

Status: Full-Time

Pay rate: $18.59/Hr

Description: Working on assigned shifts, you will provide proactive and reactive security patrols and responses to incidents. You will be required to write reports, investigate routine incidents, and respond to emergencies quickly and efficiently.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of 8-15 guards
  • Assist in managing day-to-day operations
  • Liaise with clients and management to ensure all site objectives are adhered to
  • Report directly to management and client
  • Train, coach, and support all staff on site and ensure all staff are fully trained and follow site policies and procedures
  • Write reports and investigate routine incidents
  • Respond to coded emergencies promptly
  • Display excellent customer service skills and work with people under stress or needing medical assistance
  • Be physically fit to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods (up to 3-4 hours between breaks)
  • Monitor and escalate security concerns
  • Provide security presence and support
  • Use verbal de-escalation techniques to manage conflicts
  • Work closely with law enforcement and emergency services
  • Manage access control, crowd control, and CCTV systems
  • Escort contractors, issue visitor badges
  • Conduct periodic foot and mobile patrols as needed
  • Keep records and draft daily reports
  • Update logs and systems
  • De-escalate emergencies on-site
  • Provide high-level customer service
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management and the client

Prerequisites:

  • Double vaccinated against COVID-19 (minimum 2 doses)
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Valid CPR and First Aid Certification Level C (WSIB approved)
  • Valid G class Driver License with a 3-year clean driving record
  • Proficient in English (oral and written)
  • Minimum 1-2 years of security experience
  • Diploma in Justice Studies or Police Foundations (asset)
  • Authorized to work legally in Canada
