General Summary

TEAM's is a global leader in providing field machining services to industrial sites and manufacturing facilities. Our technicians are expected to meet these high standards. The main duties of Field Machining technicians include:

1. Reviewing client job scope
2. Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and documentation
3. Managing equipment and tooling before arriving at the job site
4. Meeting or exceeding client quality and production expectations

The Field Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating portable machine tools for on-site repairs and machining at client locations. The primary role is executing operations according to site and company procedures, with ongoing training and development to improve skills. Experienced technicians may lead less experienced team members on job sites.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintain a safe and healthy environment by following safety standards and alerting others to hazards
• Perform duties aligned with TEAM's Core Values
• Conduct field machining services such as pipe cutting, flange resurfacing, drilling, milling, line boring, key-way cutting, shaft turning, and bolt removal
• Identify safety needs and use proper procedures and equipment
• Document all service activities as required

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; technical training is a plus
• At least 3 years of experience in industrial field machining
• HAZWOPER certification preferred
• Travel requirements range from 0% to 27%

Work Conditions

• Based at a branch or site location
• Work involves indoor and outdoor environments, often around noisy machinery
• Interaction with team members, supervisors, and clients
• Potential travel and climate exposure

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Lift and carry up to 75 pounds
• Ability to walk, climb, communicate effectively, observe, and perform manual tasks
• Mobility to access various environments and platforms
• Focus and multitasking abilities; excellent communication skills
