Job summary

Acuren is seeking an IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician to lead crews in the Central Region, based in Sarnia, ON. You will ensure safe and compliant execution of industrial work scopes, mentor technicians, and act as primary emergency contact with 24/7 availability.

Salary is CA$55.00/hr and compensation reflects certifications and experience. The role emphasizes leadership, safety, client relations, and the ability to step in when extra personnel are needed, with a focus on reliable project

Qualifications

  • IRATA Level 3 Certification or equivalent is required.
  • Journeyman ticket is preferred and asset.
  • First Aid Certification is required.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the day-to-day activities of technicians assigned to the crew.
  • Review and approve timesheets and FLRAs, address deficiencies and provide feedback.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, training, and ongoing skills development to team members.
  • Support investigation and documentation of near misses, safety incidents, and non-conformances.
  • Act as primary emergency contact, maintaining 24/7 availability by cell phone.
  • Step in to perform required services when additional personnel are unavailable.

Job description

Acuren is currently recruiting IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technicians to support projects across the Central Region, providing crew leadership and ensuring safe, compliant execution of industrial work scopes.

The position will be based out of Sarnia, ON

Salary will be CA$55.00/hr based on certifications and experience

Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the day-to-day activities of technicians assigned to the crew
  • Review and approve timesheets and Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRAs), addressing deficiencies and providing constructive feedback
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, training, and ongoing skills development to team members
  • Support the investigation and documentation of near misses, safety incidents, and non-conformances
  • Act as the primary emergency contact, maintaining 24/7 availability by cell phone
  • Step in to perform required services when additional personnel are unavailable
Requirements
  • IRATA Level 3 Certification
