Base pay range

Role Summary

Chubb Fire and Security is seeking a Level 3 Fire Technician. Responsibilities include verifying, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining fire alarm systems installed at customer sites. The role also involves maintaining emergency systems such as emergency lighting and portable fire extinguishers. On-call rotation and overtime may be required.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Perform quality work independently and recommend improvements for customer satisfaction.
  2. Test and commission fire alarm systems.
  3. Complete reports and documentation related to work performed.
  4. Inspect fire alarm systems according to Can / ULC S536 standards.
  5. Verify fire alarm systems as per Can / ULC S537.
  6. Inspect fire extinguishers as per NFPA-10.
  7. Inspect emergency lighting as per local jurisdiction requirements.
  8. Communicate with customers to identify issues with fire alarm systems.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least 3 years of experience in electronics, electrical, or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of experience servicing fire alarm systems.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Valid C.F.A.A certification.
  • Valid Provincial Driver’s License.

  • Knowledge of hand tools and computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Problem-solving skills and organizational ability.
  • Adaptability, interpersonal skills, and self-motivation.
  • EST3 Certification is an asset.
