Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in electronics/electrical fields.
  • Valid C.F.A.A certification and Provincial Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Role Summary

Chubb Fire and Security is looking for a Level 3 Fire Technician to join the team. The main duties include verifications, inspections, repairs, and maintenance of fire alarm systems installed at our customers’ sites. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining emergency systems such as emergency lighting and portable fire extinguishers. On-call rotation and overtime may be required.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform quality work independently and recommend improvements to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Test and commission fire alarm systems to ensure building occupancy can be taken.
  • Complete reports and documents related to the work performed.
  • Inspect fire alarm systems as per Can/ULC S536.
  • Verify fire alarm systems as per Can/ULC S537.
  • Inspect fire extinguishers as per NFPA-10.
  • Inspect emergency lighting as per local authority requirements.
  • Communicate with customers to identify system issues.
Job Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in electronics/electrical fields or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience servicing fire alarm systems.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Valid C.F.A.A certification.
  • Valid Provincial Driver’s License.
Additional Skills and Qualifications
  • Knowledge of hand tools and computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Adaptability and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with a positive outlook.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • EST3 Certification is an asset.
