Job summary

Long & McQuade Musical Instruments is seeking a Lessons Teacher to provide violin/strings instruction at our on-site lesson centres in Ontario. This role operates as an independent contractor with weekend availability and teaches across instrument families within the program.

Eligible candidates typically hold a music degree or diploma, or equivalent, with teaching experience across ages and a solid curriculum approach for private or group lessons.

Qualifications

• Must have a music degree or diploma from a recognized University or College.
• Minimum Grade 8 RCM standing with Grade 2 Rudiments; professional equivalency accepted.
• Must have previous teaching experience with all ages of students.
• Knowledge and application of standard teaching methods and curriculum in private or group lessons is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach violin/strings at Long & McQuade Lesson Centres.
• Operate as an independent contractor.
• Participate in weekend lesson schedules and maintain lesson progression.
