Job summary

Long & McQuade Musical Instruments in Laval, Quebec seeks a Lessons Teacher to provide piano and other instrument instruction within our store's Lesson Centre. The position is contract-based and staffed by independent contractors, reflecting flexible hours and student-friendly scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one: music degree/diploma, or RCM Grade 8 with Grade 2 Rudiments, or professional equivalency.
• Prior teaching experience with all ages of students is required.
• Knowledge of standard teaching methods and lesson curricula for private or group lessons is required.

Responsibilities

• Work as an independent contractor.
• Teach lessons in piano and other instruments at store Lesson Centres (piano, guitar, bass, drums, woodwinds, brass, strings and voice).

Job Requirements

• Suitable candidates must have at least one of the following:
• a music degree or diploma from a recognized University or College
• a minimum Grade 8 RCM standing with Grade 2 Rudiments
• professional equivalency
• Must have previous teaching experience with all ages of students
• Knowledge and application of standard teaching methods and lesson curriculum in the private or group lesson situation is required
