Job summary

Long & McQuade Limited in Saskatoon is seeking qualified music teachers to work as independent contractors in our on-site Lesson Centres. Lessons cover piano, guitar, bass, drums, woodwinds, brass, strings and voice.

Candidates must hold a music degree or diploma or meet the RCM Grade 8 with Grade 2 Rudiments or an equivalent credential, plus proven teaching experience with learners of all ages and familiarity with standard teaching methods and curricula.

Qualifications

• Must have previous teaching experience with students of all ages.
• Knowledge and application of standard teaching methods and lesson curricula in private or group lessons.

Responsibilities

• Teach music lessons as an independent contractor.
• Contribute to lesson center programs across multiple instruments as offered by Long & McQuade.

Job Requirements

Suitable candidates must have at least one of the following:

• a music degree or diploma from a recognized University or College
• a minimum Grade 8 RCM standing with Grade 2 Rudiments
• professional equivalency

• Knowledge and application of standard teaching methods and lesson curriculum in the private or group lesson situation is required
