Job summary

Long & McQuade Musical Instruments in Laval, QC seeks a Lessons Teacher to provide guitar instruction as an independent contractor. You’ll work with students of all ages, using standard curricula and private or group lesson formats at our on-site Lesson Centre.

Applicants must have a music degree or diploma, or an equivalent credential, plus teaching experience and knowledge of lesson plans and methods. Weekdays, weeknights and weekends available.

Qualifications

• A music degree or diploma from a recognized university or college.
• Minimum Grade 8 RCM with Grade 2 Rudiments.
• Professional equivalency accepted.
• Previous teaching experience with all ages.
• Knowledge of standard teaching methods and curricula in private or group settings.

• Suitable candidates must have at least one of the following:


• a music degree or diploma from a recognized University or College


• a minimum Grade 8 RCM standing with Grade 2 Rudiments

• Knowledge and application of standard teaching methods and lesson curriculum in the private or group lesson situation is required
