Role Overview

The Assistant Manager acts as a leader in the absence of, or in support of, the Store Manager and behaves as a business owner within the marketplace and organization. Represents LensCrafters as the premier destination for all vision needs and delivers key performance metrics.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Deliver quality & improvement to exceed all key performance indicators (KPIs):
  2. Support store business plans to maximize sales & profit
  3. Partner with store manager to lead & develop team
  4. Support visual directives & maintain store appearance
  5. Maintain positive relationships with doctors
  6. Promote team compliance to policies
  7. Perform administrative duties
  8. Work a flexible schedule, including nights & weekends
Basic Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year management/supervisory experience with direct reports
  • Knowledge of retail operations, processes & policies
  • Strong basic math skills
  • Familiarity with cash registers, computers & calculators
  • Excellent command of English (written & oral)
  • Strong communication & listening skills
  • Proven selling skills
  • Problem-solving ability
Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree or equivalent
  • Leadership experience in retail & customer service
  • Knowledge of optics & store merchandise
  • State licensure or ABO Certification (if applicable)
  • Brand Final Inspector Certification
  • Experience with Brand Quality, Fitting & Adjusting Program
