Global Financial Firm located in Mississauga, ON has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Lending Data Project Manager / Business Analyst.

This role is currently on a Hybrid Schedule.

You will need reliable internet, a computer, and an Android or iPhone for remote access into client systems during remote work.

In-office presence is expected weekly, 3 days per week, depending on team requirements.

Job Title: Lending Data Project Manager / Business Analyst

Role Overview

The Wholesale Lending Data Project Manager / Business Analyst will be responsible for leading multiple significant projects within the Information Services Group (ISG / WL Tech) and Institutional Credit Management (ICM) Product teams, supporting One Client Data initiatives. These projects focus on the loans portfolio, ensuring data quality and reporting needs of the business and regulators are met.

The candidate will develop and manage medium to long-term plans, execute strategies for complex solutions, conduct data analysis, and collaborate across multiple functions and systems to deliver results. They will establish roadmaps and project plans, driving execution through stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage large, transformative initiatives impacting multiple Lines of Business (LOBs) and products.
• Define key outcomes and ensure clear communication with stakeholders.
• Work closely with business and technology partners to gather requirements and develop solutions.
• Lead end-to-end project execution, utilizing data analysis with Excel, SQL, and Python.
• Query data from relational databases to validate requirements.
• Develop cross-functional solutions to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with teams to identify efficient solutions.
• Monitor and communicate project progress regularly.
• Document meetings and follow-up actions.
• Manage project risks and mitigation plans.
• Handle project reporting and documentation using enterprise tools.
• Create presentations for senior stakeholders.
• Leverage knowledge of financial instruments relevant to loans.
• Support continuous process improvements in the Loans area.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading projects in Data, Business Analytics, Banking, or similar.
• Experience with financial data and understanding of financial instruments, especially loans.
• Knowledge of credit risk management and regulatory reporting.
• Proficiency with relational databases, SQL, and working with IT teams.
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel, Visio, PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of Python is a plus.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
