Job summary

LNG Canada is seeking a construction lawyer to support the Phase 2 Projects scope for Plant and Company Provided Items during construction.

This individual will provide professional, timely, cost effective and practical legal advice primarily to LNG Canada’s Projects and Contracting & Procurement groups, focusing on the negotiation, implementation and management of various engineering, procurement and construction contracts, as well as dispute resolution strategy to support Phase 2 delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice in respect of the development and negotiation of Project Contracts, day-to-day contract management issues and claims avoidance and management.
  • Support senior legal counsel on matters where appropriate.
  • Provide and/or support relevant training and education for the Projects and C&P groups as required.
  • Occasionally instruct outside counsel with managerial oversight.

About the Role

LNG Canada is seeking a construction lawyer to support the Phase 2 Projects scope for Plant and Company Provided Items during construction. This individual will provide professional, timely, cost effective and practical legal advice primarily to LNG Canada’s Projects and Contracting & Procurement (C&P) groups, and mainly in relation to the negotiation, implementation and management of various engineering, procurement and construction contracts (Project Contracts), as well as dispute resolution strategy to support the Phase 2 Project delivery.
