About the Role:

As an Associate at our Ontario office, you'll be cross-trained in various practice areas, gaining exposure to estate planning, probate, trust administration, and estate litigation. We offer a supportive atmosphere for your professional development, and the position entails a reasonable requirement of 1,680 yearly billable hours.

About You:

  1. Experience: 1-5 years, preferably with some litigation exposure or a willingness to become a litigator.
  2. Independence: You're accustomed to handling files from start to finish and thrive as a self-starter.
  3. Versatility: With an interest in learning various practice areas, you appreciate the mentorship of a senior attorney.
  4. Communication: Strong writing skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Career-Driven: You're seeking a fulfilling career, not just a job.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Research
  2. Drafting pleadings
  3. Responding to discovery
  4. Communicating with clients
  5. Probate and trust administration

Education & Requirements:

  1. 1-5 years' experience, preferably as a civil litigator (not required)
  2. Licensed to practice law in California
  3. Courtroom experience preferred
  4. Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  5. Superb written and oral communication skills
  6. Willingness to learn various practice areas
  7. Coachable
