Job summary

Lépine Talent inc. is seeking Legal Counsel to join in-house litigation teams in a dynamic corporate environment in Montreal. You will manage litigation files with external counsel, analyze claims, and draft opinions and contract clauses to support strategic business decisions.

Ideal candidates are admitted to the Quebec Bar with experience in litigation or commercial law, bilingual in French and English, and able to collaborate with operations, sales, finance and IT to minimize risk.

Qualifications

• Must be a member in good standing of the Quebec Bar with experience in litigation or commercial law.
• Strong business-focused, solution-oriented legal practice mindset.
• Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders (operations, sales, finance, IT).
• Proficiency in both French and English, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation files in coordination with external counsel.
• Analyze claims and advise on settlement or defense strategies.
• Draft legal documents including demand letters, contract clauses, and opinions.
• Support business units in dispute prevention through contracts, policies, and compliance.
• Handle matters involving contractual liability and commercial disputes.
