By joining Fasken, you will be able to leverage your general knowledge by accompanying and guiding the day-to-day functions and operations of the Compliance Department.
- You will identify and open client files in accordance with applicable requirements using Intapp’s suite of business intake tools;
- You will screen for conflicts of interest to support the file opening process and the lateral lawyer recruitment process;
- You will build ethical walls using InTapp Walls and you will have to manage access in cooperation with other regions;
- You will be producing various reports on clients and firm files, including when lawyers leave;
- You will draft and maintain various procedures to ensure the effective management of the firm's legal and regulatory obligations;
- You will provide ongoing training and generate reference material for members of the firm;
- You will contribute to various compliance projects across the country.

About You
- You hold a university degree in administration, social sciences, law or any other relevant field;
- You have a minimum of three (3) years’ work experience in a similar position within a professional services firm, ideally a law firm. Having prior conflict-seeking experience will be considered an asset;
- You are proficient in English and French, both orally and in writing. Bilingualism is required because the person hired will be part of the national compliance team. Therefore, the person will be asked to respond to requests from all our offices in Canada and will be required to prepare notifications in French and English;
- You are comfortable navigating various technology tools, including Intapp’s business intake tools, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word);
- You have excellent organizational skills, enabling you to manage priorities well and adapt to a fast-paced work environment;
- You demonstrate a high level of professionalism, rigor, discretion and autonomy. You enjoy continuous learning and development;
- You have good interpersonal skills and enjoy collaborating with colleagues;
- You are committed to providing high-quality customer service.
