Job description

Our Litigation Legal Assistant/Floater is responsible for providing legal administrative and clerical support to our lawyers in our specialty practice areas.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Managing correspondence, booking appointments, and diarizing deadlines according to client and procedural deadlines
  2. Billings, opening and closing of files, and other practice management tasks
  3. Performing conflict searches in addition to other searches depending on the area of law
  4. Preparing, drafting, and revising legal documents and letters independently with minimal direction
  5. Assisting with trial preparation, questionings, and briefs as required

  1. Post-secondary diploma or certificate in an accredited legal assistant or paralegal program and/or successful career history in the role of a legal assistant
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a legal assistant role
  3. Experience working in various areas of law would be preferred
