Spanish Speaking Legal Assistant

We are looking for an additional legal assistant who wants to grow with our office. We offer flexible work hours, 30 - 40 hours per week. You’ll be responsible for answering phone calls and emails, conducting intake calls and screening, arranging conference room schedules, and scanning, filing, and processing incoming mail. You’ll also assist with preparing open records requests and medical records requests.

Responsibilities

• Request, track progress, and organize Open Record Requests, Medical Records Requests, and Insurance information.
• Handle office correspondence and administrative tasks such as responding to emails and phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, and letting the team know about upcoming deadlines.
• Assist with the creation of various litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and briefs for case preparation, and proofread documents as needed.
• Undertake other duties as needed to ensure the firm operates efficiently.

Qualifications

• Spanish Speaking Strongly Preferred.
• Experience with Dropbox is a plus.
• Experience with Filevine is a plus.
• Ability to comfortably use all Microsoft Office products.
• Candidates must have worked with legal software, case management, and docketing programs.
• Able to meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• At least 1-2 years of previous experience in a law firm setting performing administrative tasks.

Compensation: $19 - $25 hourly
