PKF Lawyers is a well-respected, full-service law firm delivering expert advice on a wide range of legal matters since 1924. Known for serving clients across diverse backgrounds and speaking 12 different languages, PKF is committed to providing inclusive and accessible legal services.

    This position supports a solicitor-focused practice group working across corporate/commercial, real estate, and wills and estates matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and managing legal documentation, drafting correspondence, conducting land title searches, and assisting with purchase and sale transactions.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a tight-knit, collaborative office of 6–9 people where flexibility, teamwork, and cooperation are valued. It’s well-suited for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who is comfortable working independently, directly supporting a lawyer, and assisting other team members when needed.

    Key Responsibilities

    Draft and prepare legal correspondence and documentation for corporate/commercial transactions, real estate matters, and wills and estates.

    Conduct and manage land title searches, registrations, and subdivisions.

    Prepare documentation for the purchase and sale of businesses.

    Manage files with autonomy, including drafting letters and communications from verbal and written instructions.

    Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and properly filed.

    Maintain and organize paper and electronic filing systems.

    Provide reception and phone coverage as needed to support the team.

    Handle scanning, copying, billing, and other administrative duties.

    Collaborate with lawyers, clients, and external parties to move matters forward efficiently.

    Qualifications

    Completion of a Legal Assistant diploma or equivalent experience in a legal environment.

    Previous experience in corporate/commercial, real estate, or wills and estates law is an asset.

    Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.

    Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

    Flexible and collaborative, willing to support colleagues in a smaller office setting.
