Tammy Boyko and Carlan Wilbon with Aplin have partnered with a Winnipeg based corporate office in search for a temporary Legal Assistant. This is an immediate temporary opportunity with the potential to become a temporary to hire position.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-orientedTemporary Legal Assistantto support our legal department. The ideal candidate will assist in reviewing legal documents, drafting formal correspondence, and ensuring accuracy and compliance in various communications and materials.

Responsibilities

  • Review legal contracts, terms and conditions, and other formal documents for accuracy and consistency.
  • Ensure all reviewed materials comply with internal standards and legal requirements.
  • Prepare and draft formal letters and other business correspondence.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of legal policies, terms and conditions, and supporting documentation.
  • Review internal and external copy/materials for legal alignment and accuracy.
  • Liaise professionally with clients and vendors on behalf of the department.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support to the department lead.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5 plus years of experience of legal administrative experiencein a Corporate / Legal environment(a combination of education and experience may be considered)
  • Experience in family, litigation, or criminal law would be an asset.
  • Strong organizational abilities and a sharp attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
