PROFILE

We are currently recruiting for a senior level Legal Administrative Assistant to join our fast paced team. As an integral member of the Legal Administrative Assistant team, the incumbent will provide support to professionals within our Business Law group.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organize and expedite the flow of work through the professional's office, initiating follow-up action.
  • Prepare legal documents with discretions according to general precedents or instructions from Professional letters, memos, ect. of a confidential nature, which may be drafted independently for review by supervisor or may be prepared from dictation or hard copy
  • Liaise between the Professional's various internal and external individuals, groups, and clients at all levels.
  • Manage the bring-forward or diary system/database to ensure important dates/deadlines are met.
  • Prepare special reports, which may include gathering and summarizing data.
  • Exercise initiative and judgement to relieve Professional of administrative detail
  • Create and monitor and maintain client files for better file management and client service.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Legal Administrative Assistant Diploma from a recognized college preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant
  • Ability to communicate in a professional, efficient manner with clients and external contacts as well as internally throughout the firm.
  • Highly organized, team player with the ability to work under pressure, deal with changing priorities and meet strict deadlines (this may include being flexible on work hours on an exception basis).
  • Excellent proficiency with Word 365, Teraview, Outlook, iManage, PowerPoint, Excel and Expert Time.
  • Ability to handle more than one professional and to undertake additional responsibilities as required within the share and team.
