Description :
The Department of Medicine and the Division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics at Sinai Health System and the University Health Network, in collaboration with the Department of Medicine and the Division of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Toronto, are seeking to recruit up to two qualified full-time academic geriatricians. These positions are for a Clinician in Quality & Innovation and a Clinician Teacher. Successful candidates will be hired through either Sinai Health System or the University Health Network, both fully-affiliated with the Toronto Academic Health Sciences Network. Candidates must be eligible for a Full-Time Clinical Academic Appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, with appointments starting in September 2025 or a mutually agreed date.
Responsibilities include providing exemplary patient-centered care and participating in the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs of the University of Toronto.
For appointment as a Clinician Teacher, excellence will be demonstrated through scholarly contributions to teaching, awards, pedagogical innovation, and curriculum development. For Clinician in Quality and Innovation, excellence includes advanced training, successful initiatives, practice or equipment innovations, conference invitations, and accolades.
Applicants must hold an MD degree, be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario in Geriatric Medicine, and have or be eligible for specialist certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. The estimated salary range is $300,000-$350,000 annually, commensurate with experience and academic rank.
