The Department of Medicine at St. Michael’s Hospital, in conjunction with the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, is seeking a qualified full-time academic Respirologist. The successful candidate must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at the University of Toronto. The position will have an academic description of Clinician-Teacher (CT) or Clinician in Quality and Innovation (CQI). The expected start date is September 1, 2025, or shortly thereafter.
The candidate should hold an MD degree, with certification in Respirology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). Expertise in cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis, and mycobacterial infections is desirable. Responsibilities include providing clinical care in outpatient and inpatient settings, participating in educational programs, supervising learners at all levels, and potentially taking on leadership roles in education. Candidates should be pursuing or have completed a graduate degree or advanced training, with a proven record of teaching excellence. Engagement in clinical research and quality improvement is also expected. The successful candidate will report to the Head, Division of Respirology at St. Michael’s Hospital, which comprises 11 full-time Respirologists and a strong research program.
Remuneration will be commensurate with rank, qualifications, and experience.
