An established institution seeks a dedicated lecturer to teach an online course during the summer semester. This role involves preparing course materials, grading, and engaging with students in a remote setting. Under the supervision of the Director of the Information School and the Certificates Coordinator, teach LIS 712: The Public Library in an online format during the summer semester of the 2024-25 academic year (June 16 - August 10, 2025).
Responsibilities include preparing a syllabus in consultation with iSchool staff, grading assignments and exams, holding office hours, and communicating with students via email, Teams, or other means.
Facilitate classroom, online, and laboratory instruction, assist with instructional development, and serve as instructor of record for a course or series of courses within an academic discipline.

Required: Master's Degree in Library and Information Studies or a closely related field.
Experience in public libraries, especially in strategic planning, outreach, marketing, working with local governments, boards, and funders, is required. Teaching experience and online instruction experience are preferred.
Full or Part Time: 50% - 100%. This position is expected to be remote, performed offsite.
Terminal, 2-month appointment with potential for extension or renewal based on need and funding.
Minimum $50,113 for summer session, depending on qualifications.
This role may be extended or made ongoing, with opportunities to teach additional courses within the department.
