The expected salary range is between $120,000 - $170,000 for this position per annum and the Faculty of Dentistry is committed to offering equitable salaries, taking into consideration the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate as well as years in rank.

The UBC Faculty of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position within the Department of Oral Health Sciences, Division of Prosthodontics and Dental Geriatrics. Appointment will be at the rank of Lecturer. Applicants must have postgraduate training in prosthodontics and be, or be eligible to be, a licensed dental specialist in prosthodontics in Canada.

The successful candidate will be required to have at least 5 years of experience teaching Prosthodontics at a University. Preference will be given to individuals with experience teaching at both Undergraduate and Graduate level, and being responsible for coordinating courses and clinics.

The successful candidate will contribute extensively to teaching in the undergraduate DMD program and the combined Diploma in Prosthodontics/MSc/PhD in Craniofacial Science graduate program. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to participate in the academic life and teach/supervise learners in the Faculty of Dentistry. They should be an innovative teacher who will integrate digital technologies and new approaches to learning into the curriculum. The successful individual should possess exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, be able to work effectively and contribute within a team environment, and maintain positive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Preference will be given to individuals with current and active experience in instructing, lecturing, and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in clinical settings and those that operate from a solid understanding of patient care and evidence-based dentistry.

The successful candidate will hold a Lecturer appointment at UBC with salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applicants who are registered, or are eligible to be registered, as a dental specialist in prosthodontics with the British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals will be given preference.
