The successful candidate for the Leasing Associate position will possess strong interpersonal, written and verbal skills. They are well organized, have the ability to multi-task with an attention to detail and a high level of professionalism. Being articulate, driven, creative and a self-starter with a sharp mind for problem solving will be an asset. A high level of service in hospitality and a real estate license are both desirable attributes.

Job Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Respond to leasing inquiries, securing appointments to view the property and update / record activity
  • Prepare and execute leases in accordance with our property standards and government regulations
  • Follow-up on all incoming leads for unfurnished leasing inquiries in a timely fashion, ensuring that resident needs are addressed while at the same time evaluating and maximizing the revenue potential of all potential tenants
  • Confidently communicate a variety of floor plans, features and benefits
  • Screen prospective tenants to ensure they meet eligibility requirements, including conducting reference background checks and credit checks
  • Close sales for leasing unfurnished suites to meet or exceed company goals
  • Ensure a positive customer experience by setting precise expectations and informing clients accurately on the leasing process
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion and entry of all leasing documentation, including application forms, Tenancy Agreements, and other supporting documentation;
  • Participate in weekly meetings as required
  • Uphold Westbank Living’s mission, vision, and values serving as a brand and cultural ambassador for our residents, co-workers, vendors, and the public
  • Inspect all vacant suites daily before and after workday to ensure suites are in optimal condition for showings / appointments
  • Ensure compliance with all legislation

Qualifications :

  • Passion for excellence in customer service delivery
  • Two relevant experiences and post-secondary education preferred
  • Must be able to work some evenings / weekends and statutory holidays
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient knowledge of leasing principles and relevant legislation
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing and social media practices
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Salesforce
  • Project a professional image and demeanor
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with smart phone and tablet technology
  • Familiarity of DocuSign, Yardi Voyager, Rent Café, and Rent Café CRM

Compensation : From $55,000, dependent on experience
