Mainline Living Property Management is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Leasing Specialist to join our exciting organization! This position is for our community in Kelowna, BC.

As a key member of our team, you will be securing leasing agreements and helping clients navigate the property market. This position is responsible for presenting properties and providing amenities to prospective tenants in a positive light, acting as a landlord for property owners and advertising available properties.

This position is full-time, Tuesday to Friday from 10:00am to 6:30pm, and Saturdays from 9:00am to 5:30pm (subject to change of business needs). The salary range is $60,000 - $65,000 annually, plus applicable leasing bonuses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to rental inquiries; schedule viewings; prepare documentation.
  • Show off the community and all aspects of the property including amenities and nearby services.
  • Record all telephone, email, text, and in-person visits on appropriate reports.
  • Manage rental process and leasing of condos, parking, and storage.
  • Conduct reference checks on all applications (credit checks).
  • Responsible for all move-in scheduling and process.
  • Follow up on prospects that did not close and attempt to close the sale again.
  • Maintain leasing and resident files.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities, adjusting leasing strategies as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in leasing residential and multifamily condos.
  • Proficient in YARDI, Excel, Word, MS Office, Google, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of real estate and leasing practices.
  • Professional and courteous customer relations skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask during busy periods.
  • Have an attention for detail.
  • Must be able to travel for meetings and business requirements.
  • Must own and properly register and insure own vehicle.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work around scents.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Other professional qualifications related to residential property management and leasing considered an asset.
