Overview of Role

Skyservice is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Lease and Asset Management Coordinator to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Director of Legal, the Lease and Asset Management Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the administration of tenant leases, maintaining accurate asset records, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and supporting internal stakeholders with lease and asset-related information.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of lease terminology documentation and tracking systems, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordination of the leasing process for our tenant leases in Canada and assist in managing our assets to maximize investor returns.
  • Prepare and coordinate all lease documentation, including new leases, extensions, amendments, terminations, and other related documents.
  • Conduct credit checks, reference checks, and background checks for potential tenants.
  • Ensure all leasing activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate with financial departments to ensure accurate and timely payment of rents and other lease-related expenses.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all lease activities, lease terms, and expiration datesin contracts management database.
  • Conduct regular lease audits to ensure compliance with all lease terms and conditions.
  • Prepare reports on leasing activities for management.
  • Stay updated with current market trends and ensure competitive lease rates; provide value-added advice and support to other business functions in managing tenant leases.
  • Maintain and update the contracts management database.
  • Review lease rates to ensure compliance with approved company rates.
  • Coordinate and assist Finance in identifying areas of improvements in our business operations for different business units; research and help develop initiatives or strategies to optimize operations and drive EBITDA growth.
  • Work with Legal, Finance and other relevant departments in assessing existing business processes to further improve efficiency and effectiveness of the business operations
  • Assist in ad hoc special projects which may be cross functional in nature, related to company process improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or College diploma in Business, Real Estate, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in business aviation sector, with some lease administration, asset management, or real estate coordination.
  • Familiarity with lease terminology, real estate contracts, and property operations.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
