Davis Capital Leasing , a division of Davis GMC Buick in Lethbridge, is looking for a driven Lease & Accounting Support Specialist to join our growing team.

In this customer-facing role, you’ll assist in the smooth handling and coordination of customer meetings for lease documentation, while performing and monitoring lease accounting entries, portal reporting and data accuracy. Our ideal candidate comes from a professional administrative and accounting background, understands basic lending principles, is a customer service professional, and values team collaboration. Sales Support Responsibilities :

  • Facilitate meetings with customers to complete necessary documentation related to new leases, vehicle deliveries, and lease terminations. Ensure all paperwork is accurate, compliant, and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers with inquiries about their lease terms, obligations, end-of-lease options, or account status. Deliver clear, accurate information to help customers make informed decisions.
  • Establish and nurture collaborative relationships with both customers and the internal sales team. Share insights, best practices, and feedback to enhance team effectiveness and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Oversee CRM workflows related to lease expirations, renewals, and follow-up activities. Proactively identify renewal opportunities and ensure timely customer engagement to support retention and growth.
  • Engage with customers to recommend lease solutions that align with their operational needs and fleet management goals. Assist in identifying opportunities to optimize cost, efficiency, and vehicle utilization.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current leasing programs, promotional offers, rates, and manufacturer incentives. Communicate relevant updates to customers and the sales team to maximize leasing value.

Accounting Support Responsibilities :

  • Maintain and reconcile lease accounting records for all in-house leases across our dealer network
  • Record journal entries related to lease revenue, expenses, and asset amortization in accordance with GAAP and company policy
  • Review and analyze lease agreements and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Perform personal and business credit adjudication for lease applicants in accordance with internal guidelines
  • Collaborate with internal teams including finance and sales to support leasing operations
  • Prepare monthly lease schedules, reconciliations, and reporting packages for management
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries
  • Assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of lease accounting systems and processes
  • Stay up to date with relevant accounting standards, government regulations, and industry best practices
  • What You Bring :

  • 3-5 years’ experience in accounting with strong understanding of business accounting principles; a background in lending or banking may be considered a strong asset
  • Demonstrated attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple files and customers at once
  • Experience working with a heavy data set within an operational role or similar, including experience in CRM applications
  • Exceptional customer service, listening and communication skills including the ability to use tact, empathy and to be clear, confident and persuasive when interacting with customers
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially with Excel, and comfortability in learning various dealer software
  • A valid driver’s license
