Location: 530 West Broadway, Vancouver BC, Canada

Core hours: Monday to Friday from 8am – 4:30pm PST

We value collaboration, both in-person and remotely. This position is classified as Hybrid under our Hybrid Work Program Policy, where this position is required to be onsite 2-3 days per week.

Role Summary

As the Learning Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and developing tools and resources to support the delivery of various Learning Projects and Programs at Eminence. You will create engaging and effective training and education support materials for use in instructor-led and self-directed learning for all audiences across Eminence’s Team Members, Spa Partners, International and Online Distributors, and Retail Customers. You will drive training design and retention in collaboration with cross-functional teams and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). You will report to the Learning and Development Manager.

Responsibilities

1. Create high-quality, effective training tools to support learning needs for multiple audiences including Eminence Team Members, Spa Partners, and Retail Customers.
2. Use instructional design best practices to develop engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances participation, engagement, retention, and transfer of learning objectives.
3. Develop and maintain training materials such as facilitation guides, presentations, instructional videos, and job aids to support progressive learning and consistency.
4. Ensure all training materials comply with established design standards.
5. Partner with the Learning and Development Manager to map and document the resource design process, including steps for scoping, creation, launch, and maintenance.
6. Collaborate with SMEs to identify and implement methods of evaluating learner performance against objectives.
7. Use evaluation and feedback to continually improve existing training materials.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Adult Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related discipline.
2. 5+ years of experience in designing and delivering training solutions across multiple platforms.
3. 3+ years of facilitating in-person learning.
4. Experience in online course development and delivery.
5. Proficiency with SharePoint and Teams platforms.
6. Experience creating learning content for system implementation projects.
7. Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design, with skills in lesson planning, instructional copywriting, and scripting.
8. Proficiency in instructional design tools (e.g., Articulate 360), video editing, webinar tools, and MS Office, with strong visual and presentation skills.
