Job summary

St. Anthony’s Elementary School, a faith-based Catholic educational community within CISVA in the Vancouver area, seeks a Learning Resource Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs.

The ideal candidate must be certified in Orton-Gillingham literacy instruction and trained in multi-sensory math strategies, with a deep commitment to nurturing each child’s academic and spiritual development. A Special Education Certificate is highly desirable.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics using multi-sensory, evidence-based methods (e.g., Orton-Gillingham and structured math programs).
• Assess students’ academic needs and learning profiles through informal and formal assessments.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans to support student learning.
• Maintain regular communication with parents, teachers, and administrators about student progress and strategies.
• Promote an inclusive and supportive environment rooted in Catholic values.
• Attend IEP meetings and assist with documentation as needed.
• Be an excellent communicator able to use a variety of conflict management strategies.
