Job Summary

As a learning experience design and development expert, collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues to plan, design, and develop learner-centric learning experiences that enable continuous learning. This role is responsible for using design thinking and incorporating elements of education, experiences, exposure, and the environment along with up-to-date adult learning principles to create learning solutions that increase learner engagement, enhance retention, develop capabilities, improve time to proficiency, and aid knowledge transfer to help achieve business outcomes.

Major Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide workplace learning performance advice and expertise in scoping, planning, and creating learning strategies that balance client goals, business needs, and technology considerations.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, business partners, and subject matter experts across the organization and/or external vendors, articulating technical concepts in plain language.
  • Advise on the selection of the most appropriate learning modality, media, methods, and delivery channels; assess and test learner performance and proficiency.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends in instructional design, learning technologies, and workplace learning and performance improvement.
  • Contribute to learning design standards, style guides, templates, and project management processes, including timelines and milestones.
  • Lead the execution of deliverables, ensuring timelines are met, including tracking and reporting.
  • Perform learning needs analysis and technology needs assessment through various methods such as meetings, focus groups, and surveys.
  • Write performance-based learning objectives and work with subject matter experts to develop effective learning products and experiences.
  • Design and develop cohesive end-to-end learning experiences using various media and methods, including virtual and in-person training, social networks, self-paced learning, and more.
  • Create and select appropriate audio-visual elements to support learning content, ensuring consistency with standards.
  • Evaluate learning products and experiences through measurement and evaluation plans to assess effectiveness and learner achievement.
  • Support the implementation of learning solutions, including facilitating train-the-trainer sessions, planning rollouts, and troubleshooting technologies.
  • Maintain and update learning programs to ensure content remains current and aligned with business needs.
  • Design inclusive and accessible learning experiences, adhering to accessibility standards and guidelines.
  • Act as a change agent for new learning models and organizational changes, supporting staff acceptance and adaptation.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Job Requirements

Education

  • University completion at undergraduate level with specialization in education, adult education, instructional design, or related fields, or a diploma/certificate in workplace learning or similar.

Experience

  • Five years of experience in instructional or learning experience design, learning development, or related areas.
