Job description

Job Title: Learning Developer

Location: Toronto, ON

Duration: 6+ Months

Daily Responsibilities:

This role reports to the Director, Major Program Change Management and is allocated to a program currently under NDA. The Manager, Training Design and Delivery, will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training (including structure, content, and guides) to enable the launch of a new technology tool and related processes. The role involves partnering with subject matter experts in technology and process & methodology to understand the learning audience, assess their needs, and design appropriate materials and delivery channels. The incumbent will work closely with the Director to align training approaches with the overall change strategy and partner with Global Learning & Development to ensure adherence to guiding principles and standards. Delivering training metrics and tracking participation over time will also be part of this role.

Must Have Skills:
  • 7-10 years of experience designing and delivering training for new technology and/or complex processes in highly regulated global enterprises; experience in Audit, Risk, Compliance, or IT transformation (e.g., ERP, EITSM) is preferred.
  • Experience delivering training in virtual formats and creating multi-media content (e.g., videos, tool overviews, How-To guides) for a global audience.
  • Comfort facilitating sessions and leading large stakeholder groups (e.g., audiences of ~150 people; total stakeholder group size ~1,000).
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and visual), ability to tailor messages to the audience, and confidence presenting to senior leaders.
  • Undergraduate and/or postgraduate qualifications in adult learning, teaching, training, instructional design, communications, or HR.
  • Proven experience working with cross-functional teams of subject matter experts in technology and business areas such as Audit, Global Finance, Global Risk, and Compliance.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience introducing new technologies or changes within organizations, minimizing disruption, and maximizing adoption.
  • Experience developing learning strategies for digital communities.
  • Experience working with social intranet platforms as enablers of training delivery.
  • Passion for creating persona-based user experiences tailored to audience needs.
