Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

Learning Content Developer main role is to design, develop, and deliver learning materials for customers. The Learning Content Developer will act as a subject matter expert for iBwave software. This role involves working closely with key internal stakeholders, iBwave’s Product and Engineering Teams, as well as vendors to create and maintain training content and technical documentation, including training courses, instructor-led training materials, etc.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive training programs, technical documentation, and online resources for iBwave products, tailored to various learning styles and technical proficiency levels.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, including Product Owners, Sales Engineering, PLM, and Marketing, to ensure the accuracy and relevance of training content
  • Coordinate vendors assigned to training projects
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and webinars to enhance participants' technical skills, and act as an SME in iBwave communities.
  • Manage Customer Support cases related to training

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as Information Technology, Telecommunications, Education)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Wireless Engineering: Solid understanding of RF engineering concepts, wireless technologies (LTE,5G, Wi-Fi, IoT), cellular RF design (In-Building and Outdoor)
  • Proven experience developing training programs and technical documentation.
  • Strong technical writing skills with the ability to create clear and concise documentation
  • Proficient with Office tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed environment, and comfortable in rapidly changing and sometimes ambiguous work situations

Language Requirement:

This role requires bilingual proficiency in French and English. English is essential, as the position involves extensive collaboration with cross-functional teams and customers worldwide, where it serves as the primary language of communication.

Desired Skills:

  • Use of AI tools for course content creation
  • Experience with Articulate package or other content development tools
  • Certification in instructional design or a related area
  • Spanish and German are a strong asset
