We are looking for a driven, adaptable and resourceful hybrid Western Region Instructional Designer and Technical Trainer that is a part of the Claims Learning & Development (L&D) team. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Claims Learning & Development (L&D). In this role, you will apply your strong background in technical knowledge, learning consulting, design and delivery to collaborate on learning solutions. You’ll focus on measuring the effectiveness of training for Claims employees nationally across multiple business functions, including Property, Auto and Casualty. The role is also accountable for delivering content in-person, virtually and blended, leading facilitated discussions and advising learners in various hands-on, immersive experiences. This role works in partnership with business stakeholders to identify, recommend, and implement learning solutions. The ideal candidate is a customer champion and committed to delivering a consistent, effective and engaging learner experience.

What you'll do?
- Work collaboratively with the L&D team to design, develop and deliver solutions that build an end-to-end learning experience with a focus on interactive digital delivery
- Proactively identify training needs, present recommendations, and deliver on learning objectives that are driven by strategic business goals
- Using a consultative approach, work with your team, subject matter experts and senior leaders across multiple business functions to deliver one consistent experience nationally
- Strives to be a customer champion when collaborating and advising stakeholders in determining training needs and appropriate delivery method
- Stay on top of best practices/emerging industry trends in learning and development to support innovative learning experience design
- Accountable for prioritizing and guarantying that training scheduling, participant enrolment, measurements/metrics and the maintenance of appropriate tracking/record keeping is complete in a timely manner
- Coordinate training logistics (facilities, materials)
- Demonstrate your strong project management, content management, and design skills to build and develop multi-purpose learning content in areas such as self-paced and mobile learning
- Find opportunities to apply data collection and feedback mechanisms throughout our learning solutions to generate data-driven, useful insights
- Communicate progress and opportunities through daily huddles and monthly business reviews
- Consistently deliver training programs both live and virtually using standard processes and adult learning principles
- Coordinate assessments and provide post-learning support on the job application
What you'll bring?
- 2+ years of technical experience in more than one business function, including Property, Auto and Casualty
- Proven ability to work independently, get results through collaborative, outcomes-focused relationships with multiple internal stakeholders
- Be adaptable, innovative and have a problem-solving attitude
- Display leadership, decision making, negotiating, communication and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to empower, challenge and influence cross functional teams and deliver outstanding results in a matrixed reporting environment
- Be able to break down complex, technical processes into simple, logical steps
- Experience developing training content
- Prior knowledge or experience in adult learning, instructional design or corporate training would be an asset
- Certified Training and Development Professional Designation or Adult Education Qualifications is an asset
- Experience working with Rise 360, Articulate Storyline, Vyond, Elucidat, Camtasia authoring tools
