Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma in Administrative Assistant program.
• One year of related experience in a library environment, preferably in a school setting.
• An equivalent combination of directly related education or directly related experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with staff to meet learning needs and interests of students.
• Provide space, resources, and inquiry opportunities in consultation with Administration.
• Collaborate with teachers to locate learning resources (books, audiobooks, etc.).
• Engage students in the learning process and promote literacy.
• Support transfer of learning and deeper inquiry through resources.
• Assist with technology use for learning and digital citizenship initiatives.
• Create and maintain a Learning Commons Plan with Administration for quality resources.
• Maintain inventory using the school’s library software program.
• Support staff and students in developing research skills and academic integrity.
• Contribute to a collaborative learning team environment.
