Location: Westpark Middle School
Commencing August 25, 2025
The successful applicant will have an assignment as Learning Assistance Teacher (LAT) at the middle school level.
The Learning Assistance Teacher will facilitate inclusive practices within the school with a primary focus on building capacity and efficacy with staff.
Responsibilities Will Include The Following
- being involved in all components of inclusive education programming,
- assisting teachers in developing capacity with differentiated instruction and program/curriculum adaptations and modifications to meet individual needs,
- supporting student learning in both literacy and numeracy development,
- the coordination of services (speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy, nursing, or other external agencies as needed),
- assisting with student transitions,
- collaboratively working as part of the School Learning Team and with district personnel to coordinate and facilitate quality programming and wraparound services for students,
- facilitate the development of ISPs, and
- other responsibilities as needed within the individual school context.

- An understanding of strategies and services required to provide access to education for all students
- An understanding of differentiated instruction
- A minimum of five years teaching experience preferred
