The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly organized, tech-savvy, and detail-oriented Learning and Development Assistant to support the design and delivery of our leadership development programs. This part-time contractor will work closely with our team to help execute seamless, high-quality learning experiences for our clients. This is an ideal role for someone who is skilled in instructional support and delivery logistics and is looking for flexible, purpose-driven work in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Session & Program Support

  • Create or update learning materials (e.g., facilitator guides, PowerPoint decks, handouts, polls, evaluation surveys, digital whiteboards) based on facilitation plans and quality guidelines.
  • Use and maintain existing templates and design standards to ensure consistency.
  • Set up and update courses on our LMS (Mighty Networks) using templates and provided specifications.
  • Support participant access to the LMS, including account creation, troubleshooting, and responding to access issues.
  • Support program delivery (virtual and in-person), including logistics such as polls, breakout rooms, note-taking, handout printing, or video formatting.

Communications & Engagement

  • Draft and send email communications to learners to support engagement and program delivery (e.g., reminders, links, follow-up emails).
  • Manage engagement on course forums and support learner participation.

Evaluation & Continuous Improvement

  • Collect and organize session feedback and evaluation survey data.
  • Assist with analyzing data and preparing simple summary reports.
  • Contribute to improving delivery processes, templates, and learning tools in collaboration with the team.

Standardization & Process

  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for program delivery and documentation.
  • Support the maintenance of the Strategisense library of learning tools, templates, and materials.
What We’re Looking For

You are someone who thrives in a detail-oriented, collaborative, and high-integrity environment and enjoys supporting learning experiences for adults in mission-driven sectors.

Minimum Requirements
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Learning & Development or a related field.
  • Experience in a consulting or professional services environment.
  • Experience preparing session materials, documents, or digital learning tools.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Word; strong formatting and template use skills.
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms such as Mighty Networks, Thinkific, or similar.
  • Exposure to digital whiteboards (Mural, Miro), survey tools (SurveyMonkey), graphic tools (Canva), or project management software (Asana).
  • Background or coursework in adult learning, instructional design, HR, or education.
  • Experience supporting team-based leadership programs or coaching environments.
  • Strong written communication skills, especially in drafting learner emails or instructions.
  • Ability to follow SOPs and work independently while managing multiple priorities.
