Job summary

Chudleigh’s Bakery in Milton, ON is seeking a Lean Excellence Manager to lead process development and waste reduction across our bakery operations. The role combines coaching, project leadership, and hands-on optimization to elevate quality and efficiency.

The position is permanent, full-time, onsite with the option to work remotely up to 1 day per week. Salary range is $90,000–$100,000 with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations with Lean/CI background.
• Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and CI methodologies.
• Experience leading operational improvement projects in a production environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven approach.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration across levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; Power BI is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
• Ensure production activities follow standards and best practices; drive continuous improvement.
• Identify and eliminate waste to improve finished product quality and efficiency.
• Lead waste reduction initiatives within the production team as part of the Lean program.
• Coach teams in Lean tools (5S, SMED, DMAIC, Kanban, A3) and Lean thinking.
• Drive standard work, cross-functional collaboration, and ROI reporting for projects.
