Job summary

Chudleigh's Bakery in Milton, Ontario is seeking an experienced Maintenance Millwright PM to join our modern 110,000 square foot bakery. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and supporting production to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has a Millwright Ticket 433A or equivalent, 5+ years in manufacturing (food industry preferred), and flexibility for overtime and weekend work. This onsite position offers a competitive hourly rate and benefits.

Qualifications

• Millwright ticket 433A or Apprenticeship Level 4.
• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment (food industry preferred).
• Flexibility to work overtime and Saturdays, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Repair or replace defective components to restore equipment performance.
• Read and interpret manuals, drawings, and schematics.
• Fabricate and modify parts using welding, machining, or hand tools as required.
• Assist with equipment installation, setup, and upgrades.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime.
• Provide hands-on support during production to ensure smooth operations.
• Work closely with operators to resolve issues.
• Identify root causes of recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.
• Support initiatives to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of materials, tools, equipment, and replacement parts.
• Complete work orders and maintenance records in CMMS.
• Track downtime, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Follow all safety, food safety, and environmental procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S).
• Adhere to LOTO and regulatory requirements.
