Position Overview:

Are you an experienced lean practitioner seeking a significant challenge? Fluor’s forward-looking & innovative leadership is committed to transforming project execution through holistic application of lean principles, methods, and techniques. Join our energetic and motivated team of seasoned coaches, tasked with developing lean capabilities across design and construction teams involved in engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enhance the lean thinking and execution capabilities of project teams, from front-line staff to senior leadership.
• Build lean capabilities on projects with complex technical elements, multiple design and construction partners, and distributed global execution.
• Coach and mentor development in areas including:
• Lean Design and Engineering, including Target Value Design, Set Based Design, and Design Cells.
• Leader Standard Work related to Design Leads.
• Continuous Estimating and development of Trade-off curves.
• Visual Management using the Obeya System.
• Co-design, hackathons, and Joint Design initiatives.
• Implications of Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) for Design and Engineering.
• Workforce organization and task force arrangements for incremental design.
• Application of Last Planner System in detailed design.
• Optimization of Lean Supply Systems in Construction.
• Choosing By Advantages methodology.
• Fabrication and Construction as Design Partners.
• Production Preparation within Design and Engineering phases.
• Organization of Design and Engineering by value streams.
• Other duties as assigned.
