Description
The Leak Repair Technician is responsible for detecting, locating, evaluating, and repairing leaks onsite at client work sites.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to company and customer safety standards and practices, and legal regulations. Alerts others regarding potential hazards.
- Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to TEAM's Core Values.
- Assesses leaking components and reports findings to supervisory personnel and engineering.
- Performs leak repair operations, which may include:
- Drill and tap
- Wire and band
- Clamp and enclosure installation
- Measuring components
- Stand-by operations
- Component inspections
- Performance evaluation of repair activities
Identifies circumstances requiring proper safety equipment.
Performs documentation and administrative procedures as required.
Communicates and collaborates with field personnel, client representatives, and management.
Maintains awareness of company products and services available to customers.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or related education preferred.
- Three or more years of experience in an industrial operations or maintenance role preferred.
- Ability to perform various tasks with short notice and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of plant maintenance and repair work preferred.
- Ability to follow precise directions and procedures.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Current HAZWOPER training certificate preferred.
- Travel requirement: 0% - 75%
Work Conditions
- Position based out of a branch or site location.
- Field duties involve indoor and outdoor work in a plant environment.
- Interaction with crew employees, supervisors, and client personnel.
- Work in areas around machinery with extreme noise levels, requiring safety equipment.
- Potential for multiple job sites in a day and climate changes.
- Periodic out-of-town travel may be required.
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to walk, climb, and perform manual tasks.
- Effective communication skills, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Good observation skills for investigations.
- Manual dexterity for routine duties.
- Mobility to access plant environments, including elevated platforms.
