Job Description

Midland Transport is currently seeking a Leadhand at our Moncton Refrigerated DC, NB. The selected candidate will be a self-starter with strong work ethic and “Can Do” attitude.

The Work Schedule: Saturday to Tuesday (8:00 AM to 8:00 PM)

Responsibilities

  • Efficient and safe load planning to meet scheduled departure times
  • Maintaining a clean and organized facility is essential
  • Prepare and report freight handling details and shift statistics
  • Supervising workers, ensuring work is completed accurately and productively
  • Assisting hold for pickup, doorknocker customers

Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma
  • Previous experience in a warehouse and/or freight handling preferred but not required
  • Ability to perform physically demanding job functions
  • Committed to working safely in a fast paced environment
  • Capable of working positively with others toward common goals
  • Forklift experience and/or certification an asset, but not required
  • Able to read and write clearly to complete paper work
  • Knowledge of computers an asset
