Job summary

Weyerhaeuser is recruiting a Leadership Development Professional for our OSB mill in Edson, Alberta. The role centers on a 12‑month, mentor-guided development plan including rotations through Safety, HR, Finance, Production and more. It also involves supporting AI initiatives and contributing to process improvement projects.

Relocation benefits are available, and the successful candidate will transition to a suitable role after completing the development plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Business, Engineering, Forestry or related discipline.
• Demonstrated willingness to adopt a strong safety culture and ensure safe execution.
• Ability to set priorities and follow-through in a fast-paced environment.
• Desire to learn manufacturing processes and progress within the organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows-based programs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience/project management capability.

Responsibilities

• Navigate a 12-month structured plan with rotational experiences across the manufacturing value stream.
• Support AI system implementation and use to gain quality and reliability data.
• Follow safety policies and lead by example to enhance safety culture.
• Develop frontline leadership capabilities throughout the program.
• Contribute to metrics, reliability and process improvement projects.
• Engage in projects to promote active learning and strong performance.
• Provide technical and analytical support for AI development on new systems.
• Relocate for opportunities or cross-business development as needed.
